Giant chocolate chip cookie recipe

3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled to room temperature
1 cup light or dark brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 large egg yolk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Mix butter and sugars until blended. Add egg, yolk, vanilla, and salt. Turn mixer to medium-high speed and beat until light and fluffy (1.5 to 2 minutes).
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour and baking soda.
Gradually incorporate dry ingredients into wet ingredients. Add chocolate chips. Chill dough for 30 minutes.
Roll 1/4 cup blobs of dough into balls and place on parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake for 17 minutes at 325 degrees F.
Allow cookies to cool on the pan for 10 minutes and on the parchment for another 5 minutes.

How to make a Chocolate Chip Cookie PART 2 ( Procedure )
Ingredients-- this will make about two dozen cookies
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
1/2 cup cake flour
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1 1/4 blended oatmeal
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
4 1/2 oz of Hershey's chocolate bar ( the big bar is enough )-- if doubling this recipe, try another brand for the other chocolate, like Cadbury
6 oz of chocolate chips ( approx 1 1/4 cup ) semi sweet chocolate chips or a mix
VARIATIONS- you can also add 1/4 cup chopped nuts
you can also add peanut butter chips if you want
Bake ate 375 F for 10 minutes or 190 C for 10 minutes

1-1/4 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
2 sticks butter
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1-1/2 tsp vanilla extract
3 cups old fashioned oats
1-2/3 cups chocolate chips

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies
Keeping warm is a challenge in Northern Canada, so I bake and stay warm and get filled with yummy baked goods
these cookies stay chewy and good even after they cool which can be a challenge with some other cookies
Quaker Oatmeal Cookie Recipe (it was on the box of oatmeal I bought)
Ingredients:
90 mL (6 tbsp) granulated white sugar
125 mL (1/2 cup) Brown sugar, packed
125 mL (1/2 cup) Butter, softened
2 mL (1/2 tsp) vanilla extract
1 egg
175 mL (3/4 cup) all purpose flour
2 mL (1/2 tsp) Baking Soda
250 mL (1 cup) Quaker Oats (any variety, uncooked)
2 mL (1/2 tsp) salt
15 mL (1 tbsp) water
125 mL (1/2 cup) seedless raisins OR chocolate chips
Heat Oven to 165°C (325°F). Sift together Flour and soda in a bowl. Stir in Quaker Oats and salt. In a separate bowl cream together sugar, brown sugar and butter. Add egg and vanilla to the creamed mixture and beat until smooth. Add dry mixture; then add water and mix. Add raisins and mix well. Drop 5 mL (1 tsp.) of batter on a greased cookie sheet and bake 10-12 minutes or until light brown. MAKES 3 DOZEN.
Nutrition info per cookie: Calories 74; Carbs 10 g Fat 2.9 g; Fibre 0.4g.
Variations: replace raisins with chocolate chips.
