Homemade High Calories Snack / Survival Bars
Just a little introduction to my homemade oatmeal bars with lots of fibers and calories.
Great for survival rations!
And easy to make with just a few ingredients!
An idea from TheRedHawk123!
Recipe:
ca. 1 Cup of Flour
ca. 2 Cups of Oatmeal or in my case Musli ( with nuts and raisins )
ca. 2 Spoon full of Sugar or Honey ( in my case brown Canesugar )
ca. 2 spoons full of Butter / Margerine
2 whole Eggs ( if you want )
a few sprinkles of water ( juice or milk )
if you dont use Eggs, you have to use a bit more liquid
plus
lemon cest, cinnamon, nut meg, Ginger
for additional fragrance / taste.
All mix together till smooth!
For the Glazing, I used
1 spoon full of Chocolate Spread
and for more taste
1 spoon full of Apricot Marmalade and Cappuccino Mix ( I used this because pure Coffee is
too strong for me )
All whisk together till smooth and lump free!
With a little bit more Chocolate and less water you can make it thicker!
An awesome chewy snack with a crunchy crust and chocolatey taste!
And it cost just a fraction of those bars in the shops!
